Hero Electric on Thursday launched its latest product Flash priced at Rs 19,990 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The e-scooter is an amalgamation of state-of-the-art engineering technology and concern for the environment.

Hero Flash is the most affordable e-scooter in the country.

Hero Flash features a 250 Watt Motor, coupled with… a 48-volt, 20 Ah VRLA battery that covers a range of 65km/charge, weighs only 87kgs and comes with features like alloy wheels, telescopic suspension and a full body crash guard.

Flash does not require a driving license or registration in order to drive it makes it extremely popular among the young, teenage demography.

PlugInCaroo opinion: It is one of the best electric vehicles available in the market today because the cost is at least Rs 10,000 cheaper than any similar electric bike or electric-cycle in India and yet goes double the distance. It is also slightly less theft prone than a cycle which can be lifted and carried away easily by a single person!!!

If the batteries were removable then by buying an extra battery & charger (which you can charge at home) you could double the distance to 130kms which is HUGE… but no idea if the batteries are removeable/swapable!!!
