Tesla is wasting its time and money in trying to come to India. To get this deal both of them lost the respect of our PM. He had very generously requested Elon Musk to come to India. But he snubbed our PM and walked over to our enemy country.

Today Elon is back in the queue… after finding out that competing in China is difficult… Well he will be in for a surprise… India is 10 times more difficult than China for American companies.

India is the most advanced EV vehicle country in the world. India already packed the Chinese and sent them home in the eScooter market. Has the lowest, widest, fastest with the cheapest talk time and data in the entire world. It will be surprising if Starlink gets 100 subscribers.

India put all the chinese eScooter manufacturers in a single box and shipped them out of India… ok ok not entirely… but the chinese game in eScooters is officially OVER. This is something that is not very easy to do… but its done… and dusted.

Once upon a time Chinese companies building these eScooters were looked upon by awe by Indian public and (even we at PlugInCaroo) thought the Chinese would be difficult to beat in India.

But India beat the Chinese eScooters slow and steady… not by playing any tarrif-games or silly politics or banning them or manipulating the political leaders to arm twist them to lower their tarrif.

India played the Chinese eScooter makers fair and square… and hit them out of the park.

Indian eScooter companies succeeded in outselling the Chinese eScooter companies because Indian 2Wheelers are of much better Quality and Range than most Chinese eScooters yet sell at the same price.

Tesla is a great car… but will be of very less importance to the Indian people… It will not be solving ANY GREAT problem for the Indian people… maybe if Elon had come when PM Modi called him in the year 2015… things would have been different.

Alas… time and tide waits for no man…

Today US has NOTHING in EVs to offer to India… or rather Indians are not gagging for US Electric Vehicles.

Surprisingly today US cannot compete with India in EVs, Space missions and Telecom.

Now after getting rockets to land vertically… not just for any kink… it saves energy ;-)… working on hyperloop, covering the near earth orbit space with satellites… and buying Twitter to control who says what… Elon Musk’s work includes… stopping the bribes US Govt paid around the world to topple governments… all to get a car deal… hahaha… how times have changed.

Wonder why for all the demand of “fair play and equal tarrif” is Tata & Mahindra… (in spite of all their 5 Star NCAP Safety ratings) … still unofficially… banned from selling in USA?

Is it a race issue? Or to protect their Economy? Or both?
