This is not a sudden phenomenon see the trend over last 5 yrs below:

India needs to pay Rs 26 more… than Afghanistan Currency to buy 1 US Dollar. Afghanistan needs to pay just Rs 65 Afghan Currency to get 1 US Dollar. While India needs to pay Rs 91.69 to get 1 US Dollar.

Just because Private and Listed Companies are minting money doesnt make India a richer Country. Even Sri Lanka and Bhutan is ahead of India in HDI Index.

Human Development Index (HDI) shows the development of a country.
