Premium Price is the REAL REASON for Ola’s falling sales

Believe it or not… we at PlugInCaroo firmly believe that…Ola sales have fallen because today OLA is the MOST EXPENSIVE eScooter in the market. … there is not a single Ola 2Wheeler available below Rs 1Lakh… WHY?

Rivals have used BaaS to re-Price their vehicles at:
Rs 45,000 (Hero)
Rs 76,000 (Ather), and
Rs 60,000 for 80km range Ampere.

Today all of them…

are ahead of Ola.

Ather tried for 10yrs selling their scooters at a premium price of above Rs 1L… buy sold just like how Ola is selling today… few thousands per mth.

Then in year 2025 Ather re-priced Rizta… a Rs 146,000 scooter… at Rs 76,000 under BaaS… its sold out. It coincided with the launch of Rizta … so people assume its Ritza which changed Ather’s fortune.

Ola sales WILL PICKUP ONLY AFTER Gig Rs 40,000 and ZSeries Rs 60,000 eScooters hit the market... or bring in a 80km range Ola priced at Rs 80,000.

2Wheelers are FAMOUS to have a very sensitive price point… maximum sales happen BELOW 1L price… Rs 85,000 has been the sweet spot.

Maximum eScooters used on Indian streets are by Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto and eConmerce delivery boys… it costs around Rs 30,000- 40,000 and needs neither registration nor licence.
