CHS to give NOC for EV Charger installation in 7 days!

Earlier we had reported about the sad plight about an Ather Owner who did not get NOC from his building management committee to install charging station for his Ather electric scooter. But now it is no longer the case in Maharashtra… at least by law. Meaning if they refuse to give you NOC you can take them to court.

Some times the reasons could be genuine but in most cases the intention of these management committee is not so innocent. These people have refused cabling connections to Reliance Jio Fiber & Airtel XStream Fiber connections citing reasons like it will make the building weak.

Well Indian Car market is split in 85:15 RATIO... almost!

Meaning 85% of car buyers are commercial vehicles (Taxi or Uber/Ola cabs or Fleet operators) & illegal (private) cab owners. That is why it doesn’t bother with safety ratings & try to keep costs low. Pretty stupid of a company no?

Mahindra has given away a lot of its money buying companies with good potential and unable to run it professionally … Reva Car, Ssangyong motor & GenZe scooter company are some names that come to mind.

Silver lining is that this comes with PORTABLE BATTERIES & should cost BELOW Rs 50,000... It looks to have fatter tires too… VERY PROMISING… but trust Mahindra to mess things up!

Indian Army goes EV shopping!

Indian Army replace around 25% light vehicles, 38% buses and 48% of motorcycles at select peace-time units and formations with adequate charging infrastructure.

The Indian Army plans to induct electric vehicles (EV) wherever possible, considering its operational commitments, to reduce carbon emissions and cut dependence on fossil fuels, with the force setting a target for inducting light vehicles, buses and motor cycles across different locations, officials familiar with the matter said on Wednesday asking not to be named.

It has set up charging points in parking lots of offices and residential complexes, installed transformers with adequate load bearing capability based on anticipated number of EVs per station. Solar panel driven charging stations are in the works, said a second official.
