Sadly disappointed with my visit to Ola Electric Showroom in Gotham City.

The first look the showroom gave was that Ola is running out of cash.
The showroom was a big spacious one… with few eScooters and eMotorcycles on one side and the rundown, shabby, old vehicles for repair sitting INSIDE the showroom on the other side. The number of vehicles for repair are at least 3 to 4 times the number of vehicles for sale/display… Why the HELL are you showcasing your vehicles which are coming in for repairs… keep it in a damn warehouse or godown… or at least partition that area with a curtain. 50% Customers are sure to run away after seeing the vehicles coming for repairs… all kinds Gen1, Gen2 and even Roadster.
The date of visit was 4th April and Ola’s outdate offer of a scooter at Rs 50,000 was still running on its website as a click-bait. Once you click it and enter the pincode… it shows you the real price.
The worst part was Ola Shakti it sPower Backup System was not even on display. It seems like the demand for it is very lukewarm because just like Ola Scooters the Shakti UPS too is VERY expensive in comparison to Lead Acid Battery UPS systems which are just one third the price of Ola Shakti. On top of that Ola has not made its cheapest 1.5kWh UPS available.
The cheapest vehicle was the 2kWh eScooter priced at Rs 92,000/- . Keep in mind Ather Rizta is available for Rs 76,000 in BaaS, Hero Vida for Rs 40,000 in BaaS and Greaves Rio 80kms range Rio at Rs 60,000. So why would anyone buy Ola?
OLA has held back its cheapest eScooters and cheapest UPS… preferring to sell just premium Vehicles and premium Shakti systems.
Blockbuster 150% MoM-March 2026-sales of Ola are proof that more people are willing to buy lower priced vehicles than higher priced vehicles.
But when you are selling premium products at least give the showroom a little premium feel… it really looks rundown.. Khandar me premium bachoge kya? The Ola showroom was supposed to look like an iPhone experiencce center or an Ather experience center. But it was not even like a Chroma or Vijay Sales showroom.
Poor quality Showroom is a VERY SERIOUS issue… and it was brought up in the Con-Call… but Bhavish brushed it aside by saying it is not so.
It is very obvious that Bhavish has NOT BOTHERED to visit every single shop. If he cannot do it then at least have a Facilities Manager. All the shops now seem to be owned by Ola and the staff working there were employees. The sales guy I interacted was very nice person and showcased the vehicle and explained its features and price. But who will trust him if the environment is not so trustworthy. It seems that most showrooms don’t sell even 1 eScooter a day.
A Facilities Manager (FM) ensures that an organization’s buildings, grounds, and infrastructure are safe, functional, comfortable, and efficient. FM should visit each and every showroom and ensure it is pleasing to the eye and neat and clean.
