Ather has been constantly expanding… and now Ather is on par with Bajaj Chetak sales… by the end of the month Bajaj’s lone horse Chetak would be overtaken by 3 horse chariot… of Ather… both could sell above 30,000 vehicles … but Ather could sell a little more.
Ola is on a fast gallop with its 12 horse chariot (8 scooters and 4 motorcycles) having overtaken Greaves in the first 10 days of April 2026.
TVS is still far ahead… and could indeed sell more than 41,000 iQube by the end of April.
River Indie is another terrific company coming in from behind… it could make the top 5 position within next year.
It will become very clear by Dec 2026 that OLD petrol Technology companies just CANNOT compete with new gen PURE-EV companies.
Enfield too will be testing the EV market with its single seater Flying Flea… Enfield EV too could face the same fate as TVS & Bajaj by the time it launches… although we feel Flying Flea is the best looking electric 2Wheeler to hit the market till date… but selling EVs are not as simple as making goodlooking vehicles… this works in ICE Engine world… but not in EV world.
The customers of Enfield are also hardcore petrolheads who are swayed by the sound and vibration of Enfield Bullet… without these it might face a stiff market.
Those who make batteries have a VERY BIG advantage in any EVs… the petrol 2Wheeler companies will see their mistake by end of year… of not investing in Battery Manufacturinf in spite of having enough cash in hand.
Some of the best value for money eScooters will be Ola, Ather, Hero, River Indie, and of course Flying Flea.
