Right now the BOLD Delhi EV is just in draft stage… but if it gets implemented then the following vehicles could get the following benefits:

Delhi’s Draft EV Policy 2.0 (2026–2030) is a major boost for electric two-wheelers: it offers:
- Subsidies up to ₹10,000 per kWh of battery capacity,
- 100% exemption on road tax and registration fees until March 31, 2030, and
- Phases out petrol two-wheeler registrations starting in 2028.
This makes Delhi one of the most aggressive EV adoption regions in India, especially for bike-taxi operators and urban commuters.
Key Benefits for Electric Two-Wheelers
- Purchase Incentives:
- Subsidy of ₹10,000 per kWh of battery capacity, tapering down over 3 years.
- Example: A 3 kWh e-scooter could get up to ₹30,000 subsidy initially.
- Tax Waivers:
- 100% exemption on road tax and registration fees for EVs until March 31, 2030.
- Scrappage Benefits:
- Additional incentives for scrapping old petrol two-wheelers, encouraging faster transition.
- Regulatory Push:
- Ban on new petrol two-wheeler registrations from 2028. This creates a clear deadline for complete electrification of the segment.
- Gig Worker & Fleet Focus:
- Special emphasis on delivery riders and bike-taxi operators, with targeted subsidies and financing support.
