Maxximo Electric – Van, School Bus & Truck

The year 2014 is coming to and end and pretty soon the Electric variant of the Mahindra Maxximo Van, School Bus and Truck is expected to make its entry. It’s been too long in the waiting and I was expecting it to be released around Diwali 2014. Do note that the Diesel variant had already been running around since 2010 but now I expect it to, finally, make landfall within the next 6 months…bole tho…by December 2014 or maximum by March 2015.

How do you charge your EV?  Its time to go Solar!

How we are charging our electric car?  This is a serious question.

Imagine if over a period of time all petrol cars owners get converted to Electric Car owners. Imagine the amount of load that would be put on the Existin Grid during charging of the electric cars. These modern cars would be charging from the old grid that existed 15 to 20 yrs ago, a grid that cannot expand anymore, one that cannot take any more load and such a grid could go offline intermittently and almost on the verge of collapsing completely.

The biggest question is what if the entire grid fails for a few days or months?… during periods of War or bad weather.

Nissan e-NV200 – The Game Changer

First unveiled in India at the Auto Expo in early 2014, the Nissan Evalia also called the e-NV200 is a hugely promising multipurpose vehicle (MPV), which has proven its mettle overseas (as the NV200). This is one of the most exciting cars to have graced the EV scene. I expect the price of the vehicle to be around Rs. 15,00,000/- (double the price of E2O) and I expect it to be one of the best selling cars even overtaking the Nissan Leaf.
