China’s Kandi Electric Car seems to be an exciting car and an exciting company.
Kandi’s new model KD5011 EV — which has a retail price of RMB 89,800 and is approved for a national subsidy of RMB 60,000, for a net cost of just RMB 29,800 (approximately $4,600 US) (E2O cost around $10,000) – provides average consumers with a low-cost, eco-friendly alternative for urban transportation. To hell with NCAP Safety Rating
Road safety might mean different things to different people who are driving different vehicles but the result is almost always the same – the bigger vehicle always wins… just an outcome of physics when mass and energy combine. By NCAP standards safest vehicle on the road today is the Road Roller because in a crash nothing will happen to the passenger.
Maxximo Electric – Van, School Bus & Truck
The year 2014 is coming to and end and pretty soon the Electric variant of the Mahindra Maxximo Van, School Bus and Truck is expected to make its entry. It’s been too long in the waiting and I was expecting it to be released around Diwali 2014. Do note that the Diesel variant had already been running around since 2010 but now I expect it to, finally, make landfall within the next 6 months…bole tho…by December 2014 or maximum by March 2015.
