Maharashtra’s bold new EV Policy 2025 is aimed at accelerating electric mobility adoption. There are 3 big benefits:

- Subsidies:
10% subsidy for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, private four-wheelers, and select e-buses.
15% off for Electric goods carriers, tractors, and farming equipment.
2. Toll Waivers: EVs can travel toll-free on major highways like the:
- Mumbai-Pune Expressway,
- Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg, and
- Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (Atal Setu).
3. Tax Exemptions: EVs registered in Maharashtra will continue to be exempt from motor vehicle tax and registration fees.
Charging Infrastructure: Charging stations will be installed every 25 km on state and national highways to reduce range anxiety.
Policy Duration: The policy is effective for five years and has a budget allocation of ₹1,993 crore, more than double the previous policy.

No Sir, ground reality is very different. I own an EV MH47BK0395 ( MG ZS EV)and was charged toll on Mumbai Pune Expressway just 2 hours ago. I tried to argue but they say they have not been notified. Whom to direct this complain to ?? How to show anything to someone who says he cannot read ??

You are correct. It seems it takes time for the policy to be passed down the chain of command… its a time consuming process… New Laws take their own time to take effect… Good thing is that you argued with him and now he will double check and might get information. Maybe you can keep a cut out from Marathi newspaper. Or maybe you can escalate it via a Twitter post.
