Ather sold just 13,300 scooters in April last yr (2025)… this figure will be crossed by Ola on 31 May 2026.
Ather in 2026 is selling its scooter at half price under BaaS-EMI while Ola is selling at full price… so the sale of 27,000 Ather scooters this year is still approx equivalent to 13,000 scooters at FULL PRICE. (same with Hero Motors sales… actually Ather & Hero are now more or less the same company).
Meaning ATHER is some what in same position after 1 full year.
Also Ather just makes 1 scooter and a slightly modified 2nd scooter… Ola on the other hand makes:
- Scooters
- Motorcycles
- Battery cells
- Inverters-UPS
- plans to make portable battery scooter, container size BESS battery eRickshaw and small eCar.
- Ola also plans to sell its Bharat Cells in country and also export to other EV, Drones and BESS manufacturers.
Thus Ola’s position is not as bad as it looks… compared to Ather.
