Ather vs Hero vs Ola Daily sales for May 2026 (from Vahan Dashboard)

Units Sold till 31 May 2026: Ather 22,502 (697)… Hero 19,051 ( 946)… Ola 15,139 (698). Ather and Hero has fallen 3 months consecutively MoM & in Daily sales. While Ola has increased sales for last 3 maths consecutively MoM & also in daily sales.

Greaves has sold 7,429 in May increasing MoM vs April…. although not able to repeat March sales of 7,555.

Daily avg sales (total sales divided by 31 days of May): Ather’s daily sales has fallen to 725 from above 957. Hero’s has also fallen to 614 from 696.

While Ola Electric’s daily sales has increased to 488 units from 327 in March.

Pls note that Ather and Hero use BaaS Financing model so that the sticker price of the vehicle is almost 50% less. Eg a Rs 146,000 Rizta is available at Rs 76,000 and a Hero Vida is available at Rs 45,000.

Ola’s lowest priced vehicle is Rs 85,000. If Ola were to launch a Gig Scooter (slow speed) prices at Rs 40,000 or ZSeries with 70kmph top speed and 140kms range at Rs 60,000 it will sell much more units… (this vehicle recently was in news of having received approval).

OR… introduced BaaS financing then the price would fall from Rs 85,000 to Rs 40,000. That too would increase Ola Electeic sales.

Ather sales for Jan, Feb, March & April (including BaaS):

Sold on 30 May 2026: Ather 21,805 (821) … Hero 18,105 (1016)… Ola 14,441 (831)… Phew… Looks like 15,000 target given by PlugInCaroo for May 2026 will be fulfilled.

Hero Motocorp Sales for Jan, Feb, March & April (including BaaS):

Sold on 29 May 2026: Ather 20,984 (1,114) … Hero 17,089 (687)… Ola 13,610 (556). Ola needs 1,390 more sales in 2 days to reach 15,000 unit sales... That’s around 695 per day… A little tough… But it’s going to do more than 14,500 sales for sure.

Ola Electric Sales for Jan, Feb, March & April (no BaaS):

Question is… when will Gig Scooter launch… June, July or Aug? Gig can take the mthly sales to above 20,000.

Sold on 28 May 2026: Ather 19,834… Hero 16,402… Ola 13054 (542 sales yesterday)… The sale difference between Ola and Ather is just 6,780 vehicles.

We will not be counting paper tigers TVS and Bajaj… because their eScooters are hardly seen on roads in spite of being the top sellers for more than 1-2yrs.
