Sun Mobility officially launched its battery-swapping network in Africa in August 2026, starting with 35 stations across Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya.

Partnering with Vivo Energy, the company plans to expand to 2,500 stations across 29 African countries within five years, serving over 160,000 electric vehicles.
